DECEIT 2 - 2026.3.3 - Gameplay Fixes & Balance Changes
A new update is now live, bringing balance changes for the Sheriff and Shroud, new quality-of-life options, and a range of fixes focused on recent player-reported issues.
This update adds an Aim Assist toggle for console players, new shortcuts for Inspection and marking Subjects, and several fixes for the Shroud Arena, Ghost Train, Gas Grenade, and other gameplay issues. We’ve also made a few texture optimisations and updated translations across the game.
Improvements
Added a Go To Inspection option to the Communication Wheel.
Added an Aim Assist toggle setting for console players.
Added a shortcut for marking Subjects via the Suspicion Wheel.
Made minor texture optimisations.
Characters will no longer play voice lines while crouched.
Balance Changes
Shroud
The Shroud no longer dies after losing a duel.
Sheriff
Reduced magazine size from 8 to 6 bullets.
Sheriff’s speed is now reduced by 50% while reloading.
Slow multiplier on bullet hit adjusted from 0.8 to 0.85.
Removed the additional slow effect when a Subject reaches 0 Sanity.
Fixes
Fixed the Gas Grenade effect occasionally persisting after it should have worn off.
Fixed the End of Game screen occasionally not appearing.
Fixed Medium Ghosts still having collision after the Medium no longer has charges.
Fixed Voidbombs occasionally being placeable while incapacitated.
Fixed players being grabbed while entering the Shroud Arena.
Fixed players occasionally being kicked off the Ghost Train as soon as it departs.
Fixed an occasional black screen when entering the Shroud Arena.
Fixed Subjects duelling in the Shroud Arena occasionally becoming invulnerable.
Fixed an issue where jumping on pickupable items could make Subjects invisible.
Fixed the Menace and Subjects in the Shroud Arena being able to stow their pistols.
Fixed the b3st skin being visible at night.
Fixed various bug spots.
