CAMBRIDGE, UK - 19 October 2026 - World Makers, the Cambridge studio behind Deceit, today announced MVX: London, a co-op action shooter with physics-powered combat, set across a one-to-one London that several squads share at once. Today is the first proper look at the game, and an early demo is free to play now, exclusively for Steam Next Fest, which runs from 19 to 26 October.

In MVX: London, an event known as the Flux has left ordinary Londoners with impossible powers, and filled the streets with creatures ranging from small swarms to threats the size of a building. Players join MVX, a Crown agency with impossible weapons, deep pockets and no meaningful oversight, and deploy in squads of up to four into live incidents across the city.
Combat mixes real-world weapons, Flux powers and a huge variety of objects players can pick up, throw and smash. Players fight creatures, send them ragdolling and protect civilians across the city.

“We wanted to make a game where a real city comes alive around you and your friends, and you get to become one of its heroes,” said James Thompson, CEO of World Makers. “We’ve spent years building the simulation technology that makes that possible, and we’re really looking forward to seeing what players do with it.”
Steam Next Fest demo

The demo is an early version of MVX: London and is free to download from Steam during Steam Next Fest only. It includes an initial set of incidents, creatures and unlocks in central London.
Each squad starts with its own incident, then moves on to shared incidents where other squads may turn up. Every game builds to the Convergence, a ten-wave finale that brings every squad in the city into one fight.
Players can bring up to three friends or team up with other players, alongside other squads in the same world. They can also play as a squad of one, in the shared world or a private one. World Makers will update the demo throughout Steam Next Fest based on player feedback. Progress made in the demo does not carry over to the full game. Players can share feedback and report bugs in the official MVX Discord.
The announcement trailer, screenshots and logos are available in the World Makers press kit.

The demo is on PC through Steam, and the store page is live for wishlisting. More platforms are planned for the full game, and more information on release will follow after Steam Next Fest.
